ADESIA’s CSR policy: actions and 2030 objective

CSR 31 March 2025

Faced with current and future environmental and social challenges, implementing a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy has become essential for industrial companies concerned about their environmental impact. This approach aims to integrate sustainable, ethical, and responsible practices at the heart of business operations. By committing to environmental preservation, local support, and social initiatives, a CSR policy helps build a more balanced and sustainable future while strengthening business performance.

Our CSR Policy: A Lasting Commitment

To define our key actions, we have aligned our strategy with seven of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • Good Health and Well-being

  • Affordable and Clean Energy

  • Decent Work and Economic Growth

  • Sustainable Cities and Communities

  • Responsible Consumption and Production

  • Climate Action

  • Life on Land

These seven pillars are the foundation of our CSR policy and serve as guiding principles for our priorities.

Our Four Key Priorities

1. Employee Skills and Inclusion

At ADESIA, we are committed to continuously improving and developing employee skills without distinction based on origin, religion, gender, age, or sexual orientation. This approach ensures that our employees feel valued and supported while performing their tasks effectively.

2. Responsible Use of Natural Resources and Raw Materials

We are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our resource and raw material consumption by adopting more responsible purchasing practices.

3. Products Supporting the Ecological and Energy Transition

This means reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our industrial processes (energy consumption) while also offering more environmentally friendly products.

4. Building Trust-Based Partnerships

We aim to collaborate with companies that share our values, fostering strong and ethical partnerships within our ecosystem.

Next Steps in Our CSR Strategy, Goals, and Upcoming Certifications

The priority actions outlined above lead us toward our 2030 objectives, with the primary goal of reducing our carbon emissions by 5% per year, for a total reduction of approximately 27%.

However, before reaching these long-term goals—requiring multi-year processes—we have already implemented several quick-impact actions to reinforce our commitment to a more sustainable future.

By the end of 2024, our CSR Steering Committee (COPIL RSE) responded to over 50 ECOVADIS assessment questions, covering:

  • Environmental impact

  • Human rights

  • Ethics in responsible purchasing

ECOVADIS Certification: Recognition for Our CSR Commitments

ECOVADIS is a globally recognized organization that evaluates CSR performance through a detailed questionnaire. Based on the results, companies receive a badge or medal to showcase their CSR progress.

Following extensive internal work, we are now officially ECOVADIS “Committed” certified! This badge validates the relevance and effectiveness of the actions we have implemented in recent years. By continuing our efforts, we aim to earn a medal and rank among the top 35% of evaluated companies.

Additionally, we aim to obtain ISO 14001 certification within the next 18 months.
